Pharmacy Forum 2026: That’s a wrap!

What a few days! Another Pharmacy Forum done and dusted, and this one gave us plenty to talk about.

We kicked things off with a sold-out Women in Pharmacy WA Breakfast, and Emma Krause absolutely delivered. There were plenty of laughs, a few relatable truths and she managed to make the two men in the room blush!

One attendee said it felt like we were spending the morning at the Crown Theatre, and we couldn’t have described it better ourselves. A brilliant way to start the Forum.

Then it was time for the main event.

The Peak Strategies stand was back in action and, as always, one of the best parts was simply catching up with so many familiar faces from across the pharmacy industry.

This year, we also asked everyone who stopped by one simple question:

What is the future of pharmacy?

The answers were overwhelmingly positive and, interestingly, reflected so much of what was being discussed throughout the Forum.

“More clinical.”
“Expanded scope.”
“More services.”
“Patient-centred care.”
“The future of pharmacy is care now.”
And our personal favourite for enthusiasm: “Full scope prescribing. Let’s go!”

But one response really summed up the feeling in the room:

“The future is bright.”

With so much discussion around change, patient experience, clinical services and expanded scope, it certainly feels like community pharmacy is entering a new chapter. The transition from QCPP to QSPP is another important part of that evolution, encouraging pharmacies to think even more deeply about quality, professional standards and how patient care is delivered.

Change can bring challenges, but the conversations we had at the Forum showed an industry that is ready to evolve. More clinical services, greater scope and, importantly, a continued focus on genuine patient care.

A huge highlight for us was also seeing Priya and Sarah take to the stage.

Priya shared her expertise on the Federal Budget and what it means for pharmacy businesses, while Sarah spoke about building awareness of pharmacy health services and making sure customers know what their local pharmacy can do for them. They are both incredibly passionate about their areas of pharmacy business management, and that passion always comes through when they present.

And finally, we wrapped things up the only way we know how: with our annual Sundowner alongside Pharmacy Halo.

We had record attendance this year, plenty of great conversations and, most importantly, those sliders continue to be ridiculously good.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Peak stand, attended a presentation, joined us for breakfast or came along for a drink afterwards.

The future of pharmacy is changing, expanding and evolving.

And if the conversations we had at this year’s Forum are anything to go by, the future is bright.
