I am very much a firm believer than every negative has a positive, every positive has a negative. To me that is the balance of life. So, whilst we are going through a Corona virus life adjustment phase and listening to all the tales of doom and gloom, it’s good to stop and find the positives out of all of this. For me personally, I cling on to these positives during these times and they become my focus.
Back to Basics | Five key areas to focus on in your pharmacy
It can be a little overwhelming when you are in business to know what exactly you should be focusing on. There are so many issues floating around every day to deal with that require your attention and energy. It is very easy to lose focus. I have no doubt every business owner at some stage gets lost in the forest of “stuff”. Plus, not every business owner has well documented strategies, goals and action points. Most of us are too busy on “stuff”.
I had this exact same moment not so long ago. There were lots of issues floating around, knee deep in “stuff” and losing sleep over it too. I was watching a webinar and a simple graphic reminded me of what I am doing and why. For me it helped refocus my thoughts.
Ten things I have learnt in the first ten years of business.
We had a little celebration in the office when I returned from holiday recently. Anyone who knows me, understands I don’t like much fuss. I am not a big fan of my birthday, to me it’s just another day. I knew my 10-year anniversary as Peak had ticked over, I was planning on not making a song and dance about it all.
My team had other plans. There were balloons, cake and they surprised me by inviting my family into the office.
Since we at Peak Strategies have reached out ten-year anniversary, I thought I would write a blog about the 10 things I have learned in my first 10 years as Director of Peak Strategies.
The final sleigh before Christmas!
The last blog for the decade!
Boy oh boy! Was that a year or what?
It’s a little hard to know where to start and what to say about this year. It is amazing when we look back at all the things that happened this year at Peak. No wonder we are starting to feel a little fragile as we head towards Christmas. I think we are all due for a little break! However, House Peak remains strong (I was told I had to have a Game of Thrones reference in this blog. This was the best I could do).
How to drive attendance to your pharmacy event
Let’s be honest though, event management isn’t always a walk in the park. It requires planning, money and most importantly, interest from the community. Organising an event whilst managing the day to day of a pharmacy also presents as a challenge! However, event management can be incredibly rewarding for pharmacies, for their bottom line, building relationships and most importantly, for patients.
Today we want to share some tips in relation to events and pharmacy. These ideas will help you plan amazing events for your patients, just in time for the VIP Christmas Night!
