So, let’s begin! This week we are starting from the very beginning, marketing plans.
Sometimes you get asked a simple question that really stumps you, where you really struggle for a genuine answer.
For me that happened early in the Peak life. Someone asked me “Why are you in business? What is your purpose?”. Such a simple question, yet deceptively difficult. No one had asked me that before, and to be honest, I didn’t have an answer.
Now we all know there is no such thing as a perfect pharmacy. Every business has its strengths and weaknesses both good points and bad points. But have you ever dreamt of what your business could become if you really pushed it and pushed yourself? Have you ever been bold enough to dream of what is possible, and taken on a goal that scares you?
Soon it will come to my favourite time of the year.
A time when I can stop for a while and reflect on the year I have had. I have a moment every year on Christmas Day when I stop and take in what is happening. The kids are excited, the family is happy, food is on the table and all I can see are all the smiling faces. It is at that moment I say to myself “yep you did well, it was all worth it”. The whole family stops during the festive season. We all relax, slow down, and be thankful. I know I am thankful to have a beautiful wife, healthy, happy and smart kids, a good business, a bloody good team, and a roof over my head.
